This eye-catching sheet is version 2.0 of the popular Radiant Acrylic. It has a surface coating on one side that is responsible for the lighting effects. The sheet changes color depending on the viewing angle, and uses ambient light to create its own lighting effects. It produces mirror-like reflections and shines in every color of the rainbow. The sheet is transparent.
Iridescent Acrylic can be fabricated using the same methods as you would on standard acrylic sheets – sawing, milling, drilling, bending, polishing, thermoforming, etc.
You can clean the sheet with mild soap and lukewarm water. Make sure not to scratch the coated surface, as scratches on this side cannot by removed by polishing. The coated surface is protected by a clear masking film, and the uncoated surface has a blue masking film.
