This X-Carve package—designed specifically for FIRST teams—includes everything you need to manufacture robot parts out of aluminum plate, aluminum tube, and polycarbonate.

Custom components can be made on-site without outsourcing complex designs to third-party milling manufacturers. With an X-Carve, FRC teams can carve high-fidelity prototypes of CAD drawings or sketches out of MDF and plywood. Once perfected, carve your robot’s parts out of aluminum for competition.

Easel, our free web-based CAD/CAM software, integrates into your FIRST team’s existing workflow. Easel is compatible with g-code files used by your favorite CAD/CAM packages (Inventor, Fusion 360, and Solidworks). Sending CAD designs directly to the machine allows students to own the entire build process, from design to final production, and gain first-hand 3D manufacturing experience.

Additionally, FRC teams can create awesome giveaways, team awards, and creative marketing materials using X-Carve and Easel. Whether your team makes custom trinkets for competition giveaways or honors a sponsor with a recognition plaque, Easel can be used by students of all skill levels.
