General Information

I modified your american flag in Easel to fit my machine and to align with the “official” dimensions. I also only cut the white parts, pre-painting the blue and red. Thanks!

hello jim, great job on the American flag. I want to make a thin blue line flag for my brother who is a cop. my question since im new to the mult color carving, is how do you get the white stars painted without affecting the blue. thank you for your help and happy carving.

I paint the blue and red first, then I put blue painter's tape over the blue area before carving the stars. I put the tape on the red stripes after I carve. Then I paint the stars with a stiff 1/4" brush and peel the tape off while the paint is still wet. Oramask is getting some good reviews, too.

Before start project, paint all board red, and the area where is the stars will be blue. Use some kind of masking tape all over the board. After carving is done, just paraypaint the carved areas with white paint, pill off the masking tape and you done.
