Panel Construction

200 minutes

Cut 11.5″ × 11.5″ squares out of 3/8" or 1/2" plywood.
Cut 45º chamfer around edge of the square.
Mill holes on side panels (qty. 4)
Mill holes on special panel for light switch.

Assembly

200 minutes

Glue five panels together to form a cube. (exclude the bottom panel, which will be fastened with screws)
Use reinforcing wood blocks on interior to add rigidity to the cube sides.
Cut five polycarbonate (lexan) windows.
Glue red and then yellow tissue paper over exterior side of lexan windows.

Finish of paint five sided cube and bottom panel with back paint or stain.

Fasten lexan panels to interior of cube.

Attach light fixture with dimmable LED bulb.
Connect light switch (dimmer)

Fasten bottom panel with screws.

Derek, The file for a regular side panel is attached to the project. You can use the same file to generate the panel that holds the light switch. Simply select one of the profiles and change the depth to zero. Then you can manually cut the hole for the switch depending on the type you choose.
