I was wondering the same as Jay Davis, how do you get the paint so clean and even in the letters?

I would have to guess that they fill the letters with paint, once dried they run the board through a planer. This remove the extra paint

I have painted the boar first with the color I want the layers, then I use large masking tape to cover the top the I use the CNC to cut it out.
