This is my very first project, not perfect but I learned a ton. My friends designed this logo for their lake cabin and I carved it to hang on the wall by their front door.

I used two bits – a 1/8" dc fishtail bit for the rough cut and a 30 v-bit for the detail pass. The carve is 1/2" into a 2×12. I first cut the board and ran it through the planner to even it out. The rough pass took about 12 hours and the detail pass took about 6 hours.
