Keep your machine’s cutters safe and easy to locate, by making this storage board. It also has a slot for the collet wrench, to save it getting lost.
The design uses Easel’s new Drill Holes feature, which makes boring holes the same diameter as the cutter quick and easy to include.
Cut the storage board blank out 13″×4½", from a 5/8" or 3/4" thick piece of plywood
Apply a finish to the board, such as a colored wax (as I used), shellac, or paint, and allow to dry
Secure on the machine
Cut 1/8" Holes on Machine
Select the first ‘workpiece’ in Easel, and carve it with the 1/8" straight bit
Cut Text on Machine
Select the third ‘workpiece’ in Easel, and carve it with the 1/16" downcut bit
Of course you may alter the name, BITSTORE, to anything you wish
Cut 1/4" Holes on Machine
Select the second ‘workpiece’ in Easel, and carve it with the 1/4" straight bit
Tidy Up and Use
Lightly sand any frayed edges from the carve
Insert your most used selection of cutters, and the collet wrench
