Chris Lefteri
An accomplished designer in his own right, Chris Lefteri is an internationally recognized authority on materials and their application in design. His achievements in this area have created a bridge between manufacturers and the chemical and design industries.
His understanding of these industries' dynamics and resources lets Lefteri fast-track the communication, discovery and problem-solving processes of material innovation in design. His strategy workshops and exhibitions have introduced material suppliers to new design industry customers and encouraged designers to involve new materials in their creativity.
Chris Lefteri's six books on design and material innovation can be found in most design studios around the world. He has delivered white papers and curated exhibitions on materials and design at conferences, universities and museums across Europe, North America and Asia. He is Creative Director of 100% Materials in London. His international clients include Exxon Mobil Chemical, DuPont, Land Rover, Jaguar, Philips Electronics, the UK Design Council and Reed Exhibitions.
A regular contributor to international design magazines and a senior lecturer at Central St. Martin's College of Art in London, Chris Lefteri also is a visiting professor at Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts in Singapore. He received his M.A. in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art.
